Vivian Le

Vivian Le's work explores her fascination with how art throughout history and contemporary media continues to portray children as romantic symbols. The characters in her unsettling visions are often bloodthirsty dolls and pensive adolescents who collectively inhabit a single dystopian universe of her own design. Her intense and bizarre scenes force the viewer to question the validity of the adult gaze and what it means to have agency as an adolescent. She is an entirely unforgettable Chicago artist with work popping up all over the city, from the Soho House corner mural to contemporary creative spaces.

Galerie F is proud to present Vivian's newest body of work, Paranympho Activity, a duo exhibition with Isamar Medina. The exhibition is on view thru Sunday, October 27, 2019.
